2021-01-26: Holmasjön Prospektering AB have applied for a new exploration permit with potential for rare earth elements (REE) and base metalls.

Holmasjön Prospektering AB have identified and applied for and area in Norberg county with high levels of copper, 9,66%, zinc 16% and lead 45%. Besides these minerals there has also been iron 32,7% broken within the area. According to SGU (Sweden Geological Survey) there is a tonnage of 7 million tonnes left within the area.

Within the area there was mining activity until the mid-1970s. Mainly iron was mined and in certain intervals high levels of copper, zinc and lead were also mined.

Since the last mine was closed in the 1970s SGU (Sweden Geological Survey) have found that there is potential for rare earth elements. The area is within the same air magnetic anomaly as the Company’s current exploration permit Kallmora No 3. where SGU have found several rare earth elements (REE).

CEO Carl-Adam Andersson’s comment

” Holmasjön Prospektering AB already have very interesting exploration permits with high level of minerals. The exploration permit the Company now applies for is something special with incredibly high level of minerals, potential for rare earth elements and according to SGU a tonnage of 7Mtonnes.”
